About Us

Experience Matters When You Get Your Home Inspected

For a good home inspection, it is ideal to hire someone with construction experience. I am a good choice because I have over thirty years experience in residential construction. Not only have I supervised turn key projects, but I have also been involved in historical renovations. I am familiar with standard practices and requirements, and best practices for energy efficiency. Builders and contractors take short-cuts and make mistakes, and I know how to look for them. These shortcuts increase profits for the builder at the expense of structural integrity. Secondly, workers make mistakes because they don’t know better. Either way, you will not want to inherit the problems! You can use my considerable experience to avoid unnecessary and unwanted expenses for your home inspection.

I write original reports for each home inspected, and will avoid “canned” phrases. When you get your home inspection report, I will gladly spend the time going over it in greater detail with you, because I think it is important to make sure you understand it.

I follow or exceed the standards of practice and the code of ethics described by the Texas Real Estate Commission. You can read the standards of practice here to find out more.

Continuing Education

I am a member in good standing of both the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors (InterNACHI) and the Texas Professional Real Estate Inspectors Association (TPREIA). I have completed the following courses beyond the minimum required:
Transcript provided by InterNACHI, the home inspector organization

Additional Continuing Education Credit is on the TREC website.

Decks and Balconies One important part of home inspections is deck safety. Every year, people are injured or killed because of deck and balcony collapses. Grading and Drainage

One of the main sections of a home inspection report is grading and drainage. Grading has to do with how the soil is contoured around a house.
